The theme of Unit 4 in Year 1 is about the Life Cycle. In order to explore ‘what
is needed in a life cycle’ and experience the process of plant growth and circulation,
the Chinese teachers invited a professional local farmer, Uncle Lam, to share with
students how to grow green beans and the process of growing up and bearing
fruit. The children planted their own seeds and wrote diaries in both Chinese and
English to record their process and experience in caring for beans. Let's take a look
at the children's planting results!
