Dear Ms. Tsang and the St. Thomas’ Child Care Centre team,

How exciting it is to be celebrating St. Thomas’ Child Care Centre’s 60th
anniversary! It doesn’t seem that long ago that I myself was volunteering
at the Centre – but it has been 30 years, half the age of the Centre! I still
remember our monthly meetings and dim sum lunches with Mrs. Gibbons,
Mrs. Low, Mrs. Shum, and of course, Miss Ho fondly. With my weekly visits, it was always a joy to
play with the little ones and I picked up so many child caring tips from the well-experienced and
patient staff. Undoubtedly, my children (and now grandchildren) have benefitted tremendously. I will
always be grateful for these experiences and the lessons I learnt!

This year, we are, and indeed the whole world, is experiencing great uncertainty and tremendous
challenges. As families and our society grapple with the health and economic effects of Covid-19,
the care and support offered by the Centre is ever more crucial. Under Ms. Tsang’s careful
leadership and the entire staff’s care and hard work, I have no doubt the Creche will continue to be
a bright light, providing a fun and safe haven, for the community.

would not have maintained its
high standards and excellent
reputation over the years. More
personally, on behalf of my family
and myself, the children and
volunteers, let me thank you for
your dedication.
