6B Wong Hing Yiu Stella
Table tennis has become a part of my life since I was five. Ping-pong is the
rhythm I hear most frequently in my life. I visit a table tennis room as often as
I visit my classroom and my bedroom. I meet my teammates as frequently as
128 my family and my classmates.
Primary Six has marked a watershed in my table tennis life. I am the only
current champion of girls’ singles in all Hong Kong Inter-Primary School Table
Tennis Competitions. I have created a piece of history for my school. Under
the spotlight of my championship, I suddenly see myself undergoing long-
term training with sweat, losing in a competition with tears and meeting my
teammates with laughter in the shadow.
From amateur to profession and from failure to success, I have been going
through hard times, but I am fearless. I am still on my way with the wind
blowing through my hair.
