Brief History 簡史

In 1890, the Government set up the Government Central ɓɞɘཧϋdִ݁ක፬਷࢕ʕᐑɾࣣ৫d͉ࣧʘ
School for Girls. When Mr. E.R. Belilios, a Jewish ܔͭу๑๕׵Ϥfɓɞɘɧϋd೓˄໼ฉഛ࢕Ґ
philanthropist donated $25,000 for a new building for the ଣᖯɻ΋࣏͛ᗍɚຬʞɷʩd՘п͉ࣧίஃҽݺ
Government Central School for Girls in 1893, a 3-storey ༸ጳܔɓᄸɧᄴ৷ٙอࣧٸd͉ࣧɗ͍όնΤމ
building was erected in Hollywood Road. The school ҐଣᖯɻɾɿʕኪfЇɓɘʬʞϋd͉ࣧቋֻ˂
was then re-named Belilios Public School in honour of Χᄽ༸ࣧٸତѧdࣧ৅˜೮৷Ԉ௹™eࣧဂeʿ
Mr. Belilios. In 1965, the school was relocated to the อࣧᏏ͵׵຅ϋ፯֛d˸თႦ༈ସԫf
present site at Tin Hau Temple Road. To commemorate
the occasion, the school motto, Climb High See Wide, the
school song and the new school logo were adopted.
