I joined KCCS in 1990. My Class-teacher was Ms. Chan EXCELLENCE
Nga Lai who also taught us Geography. She is a teacher YEARS OF
with passion and a good heart. I am truly thankful to have
her as my first Class-teacher, and happy to see her being the 40
Principal of the school now. KCCS has a very good learning
environment, where I enjoyed studying in and pursuing
knowledge. I found interests in many subjects including
History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, and my favourite
was Mathematics (thanks to Mr. Chong Shui Sang for
inspiring me and leading me to the world of Mathematics,
which then became the subject that I pursued in university).
Apart from academic studies, I am grateful
that the school supported and encouraged
students to participate in extra-curricular
activities. I was in the Drama Club and
cheerleading team of Red House. I also
volunteered to be the helper in the school
library. In this role, my duty was to manage
the borrowing and returning of books under
the guidance of Ms. Lam Kit Chi. The most
unforgettable experience is about a book
th
reclassification and reorganization project Officiating the 34 Graduation Ceremony
for the whole library, which took us a few weeks (even evenings after school and weekends).
From that project, I have learned problem-solving and organization skills, as well as the
importance of being patient and persistent in completing a big project. Those skills that were
built up in KCCS are useful in both my professional and personal life journey thereafter.
I am very lucky to have joined KCCS and have met many great teachers and people that
helped me grow. The time that I spent in school was very memorable. I enjoy visiting
the school whenever my schedule allows. In 2015, I was invited to officiate the opening
ceremony of the new school building. It was great to meet the teachers, and to see the
school expanded with advanced technology and facilities. I am proud of what the school has
achieved in these years. Numerous talents have been nurtured over the years.
Thanks to the teachers who are dedicated to passing on their knowledge to students. Their
enthusiasm also inspires me to do the best in my work every day. I enjoy a lot about my
current role focusing on talent development in the organization. I would also like to take this
opportunity to encourage all students to be proactive, seek knowledge and insights every day, Our Partners
find every opportunity that allows you to gain exposure and develop skill sets. Being curious
and innovative are critical to navigate in today’s fast changing world.
