When we learnt of our alma mater having reached her well-earned 40 anniversary, some
th
of us from the class of 1989 gathered to relive the moments from our school days. I most
cherished the times when we strived our best on the volleyball courts and track and field arena
to achieve new heights for our school. Behind each team trophy, there were hundreds of
hours of practices, many days and nights spent with aching muscles and never ending rounds
of catching up with studies. We persevered because of the inseparable bonding between us
and our mutual determination to defeat the other teams. In the end, the final score of each
match did not matter, instead, it was the laughter and tears we shared that connected us till
this date.

I wish all fellow students of Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin) to continue to strive for your
best despite hurdles and hardships while cherishing the friendships among you that would
cheer you on even decades after your school years.
