The use of technological devices in lessons and learning
We use iPads and computers in every subject.

Can it enhance teaching and learning?

Why?
Yup, it can enhance teaching and learning because
we can get a lot of information or knowledge from the

Internet. It is more convenient and resourceful than
using textbooks or notes to teach students. Now in my
school, teachers are using some educational apps such
as ‘Kahoot’ and ‘Quizlet’ to play games and do exercises

and quizzes with students in the lessons. Students
enjoy the fun games and enrich their knowledge through using the apps at the same
time. Teachers usually set some questions to let students answer in a more creative and
fun way, which makes learning more exciting and interactive. The robots and machines

sometimes may be smarter and stronger than humans in some respects.

The effects of technology on education –

Will it hinder teaching and learning? Why?
The main problem is that students may not
be able to pay good attention in classrooms.

They will only focus on the iPad, or the other
technological devices. Some students will
be distracted and they will use the iPad to
play games or take photos. They will not pay

attention to what the teacher is talking about.
They will miss the things that they need to
learn in the lessons. The dilemma is that
they have fun, but they do not learn well. It is

important to strike a balance between these
two elements.
