This year our students enjoyed a new English activity
“Phonics In Hall (1)”. This was held on Friday 4 January in the
th
lunch recess in the school hall. The English Ambassadors and
6A students played an important role in conducting the activity
for the whole school. The students could practice their phonics
skills and earn a “Ka Ling Fruit Award.” It was a successful event
and a very high number of students collected the award. A similar
activity, “Phonics In Hall (2)”, will be held in the second term.
Our English Choral Speaking Group of P3 students did well
th
in the 70 Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, and attained a merit. They trained and
worked hard to memorize the poem for the competition. They gained confidence being on
the stage and speaking English.
The English Drama Group did a musical titled “To Love And Be Loved.” “I enjoy
acting and playing the lead role as I can learn more English,” says Alan Ho from 6A who
has been in the drama group for 3 years. Emily Chow from 5B says, “Being in the drama
group, I have made new friends and learnt how to act on the stage with them.”

走進世說新語的成語世界

中文科戲劇教育
本校連續九年獲選參與康樂及文化事務署舉辦的戲劇教育計劃。

本年度參與的「世說新語的成語世界」兒童文學劇場實踐計劃，課程
內容豐富，包括「戲劇訓練工作坊」、「劇場藝術工作坊」等。「浪
人劇場」的導師到校進行戲劇協作教學，以中國成語故事為藍本，引導學生一同創作劇本及
製作道具，培養其創造力及欣賞文學作品的興趣。此外，同學更將於康文署轄下的場地作公
開演出，與社會大眾分享學習成果。
