How bright can our light shine?
By 2017-18 Students’ Association Meraki
Did you know that when you are awake, your brain generates enough power to light
up a light bulb? What if all those dreams and ideas running through all our brains went
into one light bulb? How bright would our light shine?
Every year, different student associations step up to be the platform for this light.
Whether it be Voca, voicing our opinions, or mirror, reflecting our thoughts. This year,
after a tough election between Arcade and us, we, Meraki, were lucky enough to be
chosen. And we promise to be the lightbulb powered by all your ideas and letting them
shine.
As this year’s student Association, we wish to serve the entire school, striving for
better welfares such as discounts to Ocean Park, various famous food stores and Instagram
shops, providing fast services and running activities on the paramount considerations of
SSC students. We have kept SSC’s traditions like singing contest and Valentine’s Day
activities, and on its basis, we added our own creativities, such as Water Balloon Fight in
Swimming Gala and fashion show. We will also bring back the long-lost SA magazine.
We know there are changes that need to be made, there are dreams that need to
be fulfilled. And we are here to make them happen. To innovate, to improve, for which
we are more than willing to go an extra mile. We strive for changes, we strive for new
policies, and we strive for better facilities. Together, we believe that the light bulb would
be bright enough to light up the whole school.
