Battle of the Books

This year on March 7 , in the time-honoured tradition
of Battle of the Books (aka BOB), the houses gathered
en masse to test their knowledge of English and Chinese
literature and attempt to emerge as champions at the
end of an epic battle for literary supremacy.

Teams were at the ready, having read all of the chosen books.
Audiences led by House Captains and Vice Captains were
standing by to cheer or participate in the audience rounds.
With fingers on the buzzers, waiting for questions from our
Quiz Masters, Ms Pearson, Mr Cox & Ms Xie, tensions were
high. Would last year’s winners, Red, take victory again, or
would a new champion emerge from the fray?

It was a close competition this year, with Yellow finally coming
through as the Battle of the Books 2018 champions. Well done on a
fantastic victory, and congratulations to all participants and house
members for competing with such enthusiasm.

Thanks must go to all the English and Chinese Departments for their
help and support with running this year’s event.

We look forward to another fabulous Battle of the Books next
March. See you then!
