Introduction
What a year we have had! It’s been fun getting to know the students and seeing the
incredible work they are able to produce. You lucky readers will get to sample some of the
brilliant pieces of work our students are consistently making.
In this edition of Ho Yat Tung Times you can fi nd some wonderful things!
We have a little look in our pupils’ diaries. We can read about the scary and funny
accidents that happen in their daily lives.
You can learn about the puppets our students like to play with.
You can fi nd out about our pupils’ best friends.
You can gain useful knowledge on what to do in Hong Kong. It’s really handy if you
have visitors, and you want to show them a good time!
You can also find a range of exceptional writing from the students on the Creative
Writing Course.
Happy Reading!

I have been teaching and living in Hong Kong for many years. I
love Hong Kong, especially the weather! England is too cold and
wet for me. Hong Kong has lots of sunshine which I like, although
as I write this I’m starting to think it may be getting a bit too hot!
It’s been great speaking to the students and getting to know
them throughout the year! We have so many interesting and
talented students at the school.
It has been fun speaking to the students about our shared
bucket list.

The hobby that takes up most of my time and the one I get a lot of joy from is being a parent
of two beautiful girls. Evie who is 9 months old and Lara who will soon be 5! I really don’t know
where the time has gone. Maybe, it has something to do with the lack of sleep.
I get a lot of enjoyment seeing my girls achieve their goals, and I feel that same sense of
pride when I see my students achieve their goals too.
I hope all of you have a lovely summer holiday.
See you soon,
Mr. James
