Visit by Zhenjian Middle School
One of our sister schools from Zhejiang,
Zhenhai Middle School, paid a visit to St Stephen’s
College on 24 April 2017. Both schools took this
opportunity to showcase the characteristics of their
respective school curricula. Our emphasis on STEM
was the highlight. The students involved presented
their ideas about their STEM projects and how they Happy faces, happy moments!
put them into practice. The school representatives
and students from Zhenhai Middle school also had
classroom observations and exchanged their ideas
in a group discussion with students and teachers.
The Heritage Trail, a tour guided by our docents,
was very well received. All in all, it was a truly
valuable exchange experience for both schools. Exchange of souvenirs Sharing on STEM projects

Visit from Stanford Graduate School of Education
Since 2016, Bei Shan Tang Foundation, founded by the philanthropist
Dr. JS Lee, has been funding teachers from St Stephen’s College and St
Stephen’s College Preparatory School to attend a one-week professional
Meeting with Principal development course at Stanford Graduate School of Education.
Ms. Yang and teachers Teachers have brought back fresh ideas about teaching and shared their
experiences with the local education community. On May 12, Prof. Janet
Carlson and Ms. Tammy Moriarty from Stanford University, together
with Programme Managers Ms. Carmen Wong and Ms. Kathy Siu from
Bei Shan Tang Foundation, visited the College and Preparatory School.
During their visit, they observed English, Math and Visual Arts lessons
Prof. Carlson and Ms. Moriarty observe and met with teachers to discuss the impact of learning and teaching in
the impact of learning in the classroom the Hong Kong context.
