English Fun Day
4A Ng Siu Hong
Last year, I took part in many different English activities in school. I really enjoyed them
and my English skills was greatly improved through joining these activities.
First of all, I was chosen to be one of the representatives in the Inter-Class Scrabble
Competition. The design of the game is, the more letters are used to create a word, the
more points that are scored. I recalled that I had to compete with other players from
different classes by spelling big and small words. The game became really competitive very
quickly! I have learned how to spell much longer and complex words with the help from my
teachers. This experience was extraordinary and much helpful to my vocabulary building.
Moreover, I took part in a fun and
exciting song guessing competition.
Although there were some lyrics
I didn’t understand, I still enjoyed
listening and singing along. It is a
really great and relaxing method
for me to learn English. All these
activities organized by our English
teachers have really motivated me to
improve my English skills. I have also
realized that learning English is not
a chore at all. It can be fun! I highly
recommend that other students
should join these entertaining and
engaging activities next year!
