Counselling
th
It is my 11 year with KCCIS, and I am pleased to be able to help
students progressing through adolescence into young adult-
hood. I aim to help students to develop positive attitudes and
skills to resolve issues in personal, academic and social contexts.
These are important skills for making responsible choices for
themselves in the future.
I assist students with their diverse and often changing needs.
Usually I meet students for reasons that can broadly be divided
into three areas, namely, personal / social, academic support
and educational planning, which can all be interrelated at times.
I also plan and coordinate our PSHE program, which is at the
heart of our comprehensive school counseling program. Career
education is integrated in the PSHE program for Year 7 to Year
11, while our IB students in Year 12 and 13 will hopefully make
informed decisions for their future based on knowledge accu-
mulated in previous years via PSHE and other enriching experiences.
I trust that KCCIS is a caring community where students of different backgrounds and abilities are
valued and respected, and that we share the same view that students should learn to value and re-
spect people’s differences. My simple wish is that students will grow up to be responsible individu-
als and citizens who can contribute to this interconnected world in meaningful ways.
I sincerely hope that this has been a positive and rewarding year.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. Vinci Ng
