II. School-based pull out programmes
Pull-out programmes which aim to provide systematic
training for different homogeneous groups of students
are conducted inside and outside regular classrooms.
We believe that appropriate scaffolding is important
for all learners. Blooming in grace
Moreover, we organise the Academic Week annually
so that students with different talents and interests
can enjoy learning outside classrooms.
In order to maximise guidance for our bright students,
we have launched a Proactive Mentorship Scheme
for students with high academic potential since
2014. The top ten students of each form will join the
Excellence Pursuing Club (EP Club), with a teacher
assigned to them as their mentor. Club activities
include accelerated learning, lunch meetings, goal
setting, counselling sessions, etc.
III. Off-site Programmes and Support
We actively seek external support and compile resources for our gifted students to fully
develop their potential. Every year, a certain number of students are admitted to the Hong 校 刊 念 十 五 周 紀 年
Kong Academy of Gifted Education (HKAGE) and attend different gifted programmes
organised by local universities such as HKU, CUHK, and HKUST for advanced training.
IV. Participations in Territory-wide Competitions
We believe that through active participation in external competitions, HTYC students can
gain valuable, wide-ranging experiences and be better prepared for new heights. 50 th Anniversary
