Spiritual development involves the development of insights, principles, beliefs, attitudes and
values which guide and motivate us. Students are guided to search for the meaning and
purpose of life, to recognise the value of each individual, and to build up relationships with
others in a positive way.

The foundation of the spiritual education of HTYC is based on the teachings of the
Bible. The grace of salvation in God through Jesus Christ is proclaimed. The character
development of students is nourished through the precious insights of the Bible.

God is Love

The highlight of Christian Education at HTYC is the Evangelistic Week. The theme is different

every year. Different programmes are organised to stimulate the school community to search
for the meaning and purpose of life. The aim is to help students understand God’s love.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a
yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and
young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings

Growing in faith
like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
