There are various sports facilities in Chinese YMCA College including a playground
and 2 fitness centres which go along with the sports ground and grass soccer pitch
in the vicinity. There is great enthusiasm in sports in which over 40 sports teams in
all grades and interest clubs are provided for students to promote their interests and
participation in sports.

To encourage students to make sports their career or to be the workforce for the PE
field, our school has been providing Physical Education (PE) as a subject for students
to take in public examinations (CE-level then and HKDSE now) for over 10 years. It
has been a popular choice among students. Over the years, more than 30 students
went on to study in programmes related to PE in tertiary institutes.
Not only does it help students build confidence by participating in sports, but it also
gives them a chance to join the Hong Kong regional teams. Over 10 students entered
universities by joining the Elite Sports Scholarship Scheme through the years.

Our school devotes a lot of resources to ‘One student, One
musical instrument’ scheme. Students can learn their favourite
musical instrument by joining this scheme. It can not only
explore their potential but also develop their confidence.
With all the support from the school, our students have been
frequent winners of the Golden and Silver Awards in ‘Joint
School Music Competition’ and ‘Hong Kong Youth Music
Interflows Symphonic Band Contest’.
