I have been a Cub Scout for three years. I joined the Cub Scout because
I wanted to be more independent and self-disciplined, so that I can help
others and take up different challenges.
Every year, our Akela, the leader of a pack of Cub Scouts, arranges
many meaningful activities for us. What I love most is the camp held by
our Akela every year. I still have a vivid memory of the first time I joined
the camp in P.3. It was a cold day, and deep down inside, I was very
nervous about leaving my parents although I didn’t show it on my face.
At night, I was very clumsy in making my bed as it was the first time I
did it myself. It was not until a P.5 roommate came to me and asked
if I needed help, that I managed to do it within five minutes with his
    School Teams
guidance! I had many first-times during the camp: first time setting an
alarm to wake myself up, first time tidying up the room myself, first time
packing my backpack… It was such an invaluable experience for me!

I am proud to be a Scout. Not only do I learn a lot of useful knowledge like
knotting and first aid, but I also learn to be independent and cooperative.
Like all other scouts, I am well prepared for taking up challenges and
                serving others in the future!

glad to be a Cub Scout. I have learnt the core spirits and
values of the Cub Scout. I have made many new friends
and learnt how to work as a team.

One of my favourite lessons is knotting because it is
really fun and we can use knots to help people. My
teammates and I overcame a lot of obstacles in the Cub
Scout activities. We learnt how to take care of each
other, solve problems as a team and finally we earned
some valuable badges. I am going to graduate soon and
I will never forget this adventurous journey.

Lastly, I would like to say thank you to WFJLPS for giving
me a chance to be a Cub Scout and learn about self-
care skills. It also enriched my team spirit and trained me
to think out of the box. I am sure you will not regret to be
                                                   a member of the Scout.
