Over the school suspension during the COVID-19 pandemic,
our English teachers saw a golden opportunity to utilize
eLearning to carry out the mission of teaching. With ingenious
and highly motivated English teachers on the panel, they aptly
adopted eLearning to minimize the impact to students' learning.
English lessons were delivered on PowerLesson 2 including
teaching videos and homework. Multifarious activities were also
conducted on different eLearning platforms such as Nearpod
and Seesaw. To boost their teaching efficiency and make our
learning interactive, they also did Zoom lessons. Students
raised questions in the lessons and also grabbed this chance to
improve their English speaking and listening skills through the
activities designed by our school NET, Mr. Benjamin.
As the saying goes, "every cloud has a silver lining". This
experience is valuable for both students and teachers. Not only
does it mean learning can be extended outside the classroom,
but it also allows students to learn at their own pace.
