School Life

When I was informed that my secondary school was Buddhist Tai Hung Students’ Corner
College, I was actually worried because I had absolutely no idea about
this school. I guessed that school life would be quite tough but later I

realized that it was far from the truth. My first impression was only a
misconception.
When I was a Form One student at BTHC, I felt everything was so strange
at the beginning. Later on, I met my best friend, Sam. Until now, he is still
the first person I will call when I am fed up. My dutiful class teachers, Miss
Leung and Miss Ng, often gave support to me and took care of me. If I had
any problem, they would give advice to me; if I was bored in the lesson,
they would talk humorously. That year, I became better and realized how
brilliant my school was.
In the second year, which was meaningful and memorable in my junior
form school life, I joined lots of activities to train myself and broaden
my horizons. Although I didn’t get many awards from those events, the
opportunities for participation were precious for me to treasure. In school
volleyball team, I was training myself to prepare for competitions with my
friendly teammates. We helped each other and tried our best in the match.
Through Mathematics Olympiad Programme, I acquired some extra
knowledge that I couldn’t learn in regular lessons. I was so grateful to the
school for giving me chances to join these rewarding activities.
Now, I have already been promoted to Form Three. Studying has become
my top priority. My teachers teach well and I have no excuse not to study
hard. Buddhist Studies is my favourite subject since it teaches me why we
need to be a good person and how to be one. I am really curious to explore
more about the philosophy of Buddhism.
I cherish every moment at school. It is not just a place for education but
also provides plenty of room for us to develop in every aspect and gives
everyone a unique experience. Without doubt, Buddhist Tai Hung College
is irreplaceable in my mind.
