       Happyland
Visiting Happyland orphanage was the most unforgettable part of my Cambodia trip. I was
deeply impressed by their optimism and outgoing personalities.
At first, I didn’t expect much, I thought it was going to be just an ordinary visit once again.
However, when I arrived, the children welcomed us warmly with big smiles on their faces. That
scene, when we got off the coach, is still very much etched onto my mind, even after a month.
Some of the orphans were the same age as us so we had mutual topics of interest which
helped us develop new friendships in a very short time. Most importantly, we really had
an extremely great time together, chatting and playing around. My friends and I felt very
comfortable and free in a place that none of us had ever been before.
The children taught me to stay positive and always be cheerful. Even though they suffered
a lot before, they were able to overcome their problems and be happy. This was a truly
meaningful learning experience. I’ll never forget it. Especially the time spent at Happyland.
The disturbing scene in the rubbish dump.
                                                                                             Friendships were made.
Students spent time with children with cerebral palsy. A happy moment in the House of Rainbow
                                                     Bridge.
        Students delivered daily
        necessities to the residents
in the slums. It was an unforgettable trip for our students
who wish to serve this country again. Games created meaningful relationships.
