Cultural Exchange and Interflows
To diversify students’ life-wide learning experiences and help them acquire essential learning
experiences through non-local contexts, our school organizes at least five study tours,
exchange and service programmes to Mainland China, Taiwan and an English speaking
country every year.
With the collaboration between the school and external organizations, visits, field trips and
excursions related to history, culture, economic development, technology, arts, environmental
conservation, further education and community services are arranged. Students are provided
with rich learning opportunities for further understanding of their textbook knowledge through
onsite investigation, mingling with local students and doing project works or writing reflective
essays. Such activities also help students develop their communication skills, collaboration
skills and problem-solving skills. Through engaging in community services, students can
better understand the needs of people in a broader social and cultural context. The yearly
Mainland and Taiwan exchange programmes further reinforce the learning of Chinese history
and Chinese culture as well as students’ national identity, while an annual Overseas Summer
