Project WeCan
Yes, we can!
What is Project WeCan?
ince 2014, our school has been part of Project WeCan (PWC). We are one of
S50 participating schools and the only government school in the project.
Project WeCan is a business-in-
community initiative to provide
students with opportunities
and programmes that will
engage them, nurture their
confi dence and inspire them to
pursue higher studies as well as
fulfi lling careers.
Who is our corporate partner?
ur school is coupled with COACH HK Limited in a multi-year partnership
Oproviding financial and volunteer support. Over the past two years,
our corporate partner has sponsored us to the tune of HK$900,000 to directly
benefit our students, including different learning programmes, staffing and
the procurement of resources to improve the learning conditions of the school.
Last year, we were lucky to be granted additional funds of HK$450,000 by the
Social Welfare Department, reaching to a total sponsorship of HK$1,350,000
over two years.
What have we done in Project WeCan?
uring our two-year partnership, we
Dhave accomplished many things,
including the establishment of the Learning
Commons, the employment of an additional
Native-speaking English Activity Officer
(NET AO) and an Activity Assistant. A
wide range of learning activities has been
initiated to widen students’ horizons, enrich
their learning experiences and enhance their
confi dence and interest in learning.
